What is French milled Goat Milk Soap? Here’s the story. We wanted to add some very beneficial herbs to a couple of our soaps. If the herbs were added during the soap making process, the chemical process might interfere with their ability to help your skin. To avoid this, we make unscented goat milk soap, completely cure it, then grind it up. Then we make a tea with the herbs to add to the ground soap.
Two of Ceres & Co.’s beneficial soaps contain jewelweed and yarrow. After milling/grinding the unscented soap, we mix it with jewelweed or yarrow tea. The soap is fully cured. When we mill the soap, there are no chemical reactions to interfere with these precious herbs! Then the soaps cure for another two weeks to completely dry. Once dried, they are packaged and ready for you.
Here is why you should try our two French milled healing soaps.
  • Jewelweed ~ Jewelweed soap is a must for gardeners, hikers and campers! If you get into a patch of poison ivy, make sure you use this bar to wash the affected area. The active ingredient is organically grown jewelweed. This product is truly miraculous. I no longer panic at the site of the red stems when I am weeding or hiking. If you run into it, wash the affected area with this soap, then top it with some Jewelweed Skin Remedy. You will no longer fear poison ivy! It is also good on boils and other skin irritations.
  • Yarrow ~ Wild Yarrow is a natural antibiotic, anti-fungal, anti-viral and anesthetic. Enjoy a hint of its woodsy scent in this bar. We amp it up with blue yarrow essential oil. Because the yarrow is added to the milled soap AFTER the chemical soap making process, the effectiveness of the yarrow is not affected. I used this on my dear departed dog Bear, who suffered from hot spots on her skin. After trying everything with no luck, I started bathing her with yarrow soap. Then I treated the spots with yarrow cream, and voila! problem solved.

These soaps are for specific maladies. You could use them all over, but there are less expensive choices. Links for more choices are here: facial bars, working bars, floral, herbal, scented, unscented, shampoo, and shaving bars
